Our Journey - It's Never too Late to Start

We are Brian and Amy, just your average american couple that fell in love with hiking and the outdoors and inspire to live a life of adventure. We both have full-time jobs and are raising two young boys in Kentucky. Any opportunity we can to get away, we pounce on it like a cat on a mouse. Our nature journey started in the spring of 2017, but our relationship started in 2006. We fell in love and married in November of 2008 at the ages of 23 and 25 and fast forward to the present. We celebrated 10 years of marriage in November and have two spunky and wild boys ages 4 and 8. We always had a desire for the outdoors and hiking, but it wasn't until we vacationed out West in 2017 that our love for the outdoors grew to a deep passion. With each trip, experience, and hike, our passion becomes more intense. I can't really explain what happened out west where we began our trip with the Grand Canyon and then proceeded to Monument Valley, Utah, Antelope Canyon, Arizona, and Zion National Park. All that can come to mind is at the age of 31, I had an epiphany as I was looking over the horizon of the great vast canyon. I thought to myself that I have spent my first 30 years missing out on the beauty of this land because I allowed the fear and the anxiety of the unknown to limit my abilities to step out of my comfort zone and live. I spent a few minutes dwelling on the fact that I spent 30 years of my life traveling to the same places with the same type of people and not allowing myself to do things that made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel truly ALIVE. So after I dusted myself off from my pity party, I decided to put my big girl pants on and from that moment I wasn't going to let fear hold me back from living my life to the fullest. We have been going full speed ahead ever since. This is our journey...
